Gandpar - Your're burning up the tube!  Watching anything on TV other than Lawrence Welk, Dean Martin, or Carol Burnett was considered a waste of the giant CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) that used to be television.  I JUST turned off the flat screen LCD in Carley's room and she got mad that I was turning it off (even though she was turned away from the TV and half asleep).   I said 'You're burning up the tube!'.  Dad would have been proud :-)
